New Bloom Mandala is a vibrant celebration of growth, resilience, and the cyclical nature of renewal. Part of the "Off the Center" series, this 24x30 work breaks from traditional radial symmetry to create a sense of movement, as if the mandala is emerging and expanding across the canvas. Created entirely freehand through my practice of meditative repetition, each dot and line is hand-piped in heavy-body acrylic, building a sculptural surface that rises with tactile intensity.

Rooted in South Indian henna-style geometry and kolam traditions, the work translates ephemeral ritual art into a permanent, architectural form. At the heart of this "bloom" lies a luminous dichroic glass center, acting as a color-shifting anchor for the intricate floral patterns that radiate outward. The asymmetrical composition invites the viewer to contemplate the space between stillness and transformation.

The use of iridescent pigments ensures the work remains dynamic, catching and reflecting light throughout the day. This piece comes professionally finished in a black and silver floater frame, enhancing its modern sculptural presence.
