Floating Free is an exploration of movement, space, and the beauty of non-linear expansion. Unlike a traditional centered mandala, this work features multiple henna-style circular forms that appear to drift across a varied, deep blue canvas. Created entirely freehand through my practice of meditative repetition, each dot and line is hand-piped in heavy-body acrylic, building a sculptural surface that invites touch and contemplation.

Rooted in the South Indian traditions of kolam and rangoli, the work translates ephemeral ritual geometry into a permanent, tactile experience. The "floating" nature of the composition creates a sense of weightlessness and flow, mirroring the restorative energy of water or the vastness of the sky.

The use of iridescent pigments ensures the painting interacts dynamically with its environment. As light shifts, the hand-piped textures transition from deep, quiet tones to brilliant shimmer.
